FAQs

The Hidden Race is a special 1-day game event where teams get to play and compete against other teams in an entirely new game route. The winning team also gets to win cash.

The overall game structure of a Hidden Race is the same as our normal game, i.e. following a trail of 12 clues. However, the main differences are: - Brand new game route that has never been released to the public - In-game hints can still be used but only after a stipulated time has passed (i.e. activation delay) - Competitive format—the team to complete the race the earliest will win the grand prize - No scheduled breaks during the game More details on game rules will be provided to all teams before event day via the WhatsApp number that they provided when signing up.

The purchaser of the team ticket will be assigned the role of the "team captain" and he/she will be contacted via WhatsApp with regards to updates to the race (through the WhatsApp phone number provided when signing up). The team captain is considered as a player and will be able to add up to 4 other players during the team setup process on race day. The winning teams' captains will also receive prizes on behalf of their teams.

The game will start at 1pm on race day and the first clue will be sent to players via WhatsApp text messages. Using their mobile devices, teams will have to solve the clues sent to them via WhatsApp by exploring the game route, which will be played entirely on foot. Depending on how competitively/leisurely each team plays, this game may take between 1-3 hours to complete.

A race ticket allows the team captain to add up to an additional 4 players to their team on the event day (i.e. maximum total of 5 players including the team captain), with the same clues sent to each mobile device with WhatsApp installed. You may also choose to play solo if you wish; the choice is yours.

Like any race, the first team to successfully complete the race and reach the finishing point the earliest will be deemed as the winning team. Therefore, teams are advised to start at 1pm for a better chance of winning.

Game hints will be disabled during Hidden Races to prevent teams from abusing the functions since the race is based on the actual finishing time of teams, rather than the game duration in our usual non-race games. More details on game rules will be provided to all teams before event day via the WhatsApp number that they provided when signing up.
